Fennel Seed, Whole

Native to India and the Mediterranean, Fennel Seed is aromatic with the light flavor of licorice.

The perfect fish spice, add toasted fennel seeds to poaching liquid, place under baking fillets, crush and add to fish batter or mix with butter and slather on hot fish before serving. Fennel complements pork and lamb and is used to season sausage and marinara sauce. Sprinkle on bread and rolls before baking.
