Mustard, Ground

Used since the early days of Greece as a condiment, mustard is valued for its preservative qualities.

Make your own mustard, use in pickles, vegetable relishes and chutneys.  Add to marinades and rubs for grilling.  Flavor sandwich spreads, egg and potato salads.  Add to the water when boiling root vegetables.  ½ tsp in chocolate cakes, brownies, cookies will intensify the flavor. Our ground mustard is known as mustard flour because the outer hull of the mustard seed is removed before grinding very fine.  This allows the ground mustard to suspend well and not settle out when mixed with liquids.
