Yellow Mustard Seed

Mustard seeds have been used since the early days of India and Greece. Versatile, mustard seeds are a rich source of oil and protein and valued for preservative qualities. An excellent addition to a spicy meal, such as Indian cuisine. Yellow mustard seeds are the mildest of the mustards and will add a touch of bitter flavor.

Try adding the mustard seeds to a pan after the oil heats up and allow it to crackle before adding other ingredients. Make your own mustard, use in pickles, vegetable relishes and chutneys.  Add to marinades and rubs for grilling or when making corned beef.
